Opening Prayer/Worship
Hymn: O God Our Help in Ages Past
Theme: King of kings
Topic: God’s
Offspring
Reading: Acts 17:22-31
Introduction
Through our faith in Christ we become God’s
children, filled with the Holy Spirit. To be God’s
offspring is to know, love and live for the Lord. This description
is mainly from our perspective, because from God’s
point of view, all humanity belongs to Him.
So when we speak of being God’s
offspring, we mainly refer to being in relationship and partnership with
Him. That we do not acknowledge God’s
ownership of our lives does not make us not be the Lord’s own,
instead such attitude prevents us from living in the fullness of God’s
love, provision and protection, in this life and in the life to come. Christ came to
reconcile us to God, and it is important to our wellbeing that we accept such great salvation and live in the fullness of God’s
plan and purpose for our lives.

Closing Prayer
(Collect for Sixth Sunday of Easter)
Merciful God, you have prepared for those who love you riches
beyond imagination. Pour into our hearts such love toward you, that we, loving
you above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can
desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you and the
Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
